Trimhockey

Not yet a hockey talent, but enthusiastic about the game? Or do you have a busy (social) life that makes the weekends particularly full? Maybe trim hockey is something for you!

Training

On Monday evening there is trim hockey training from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM. This is a fairly large group (100 members, mixed, aged 30 to 60 years). The first half hour is spent working on fitness, warming up and basic techniques. The next half hour is spent practicing technique through various exercises, after which the last half hour is used for mutual competitions. The level varies from beginners to advanced. The trainers (always 2, sometimes 3) adapt the exercises to the level. For example, at the beginning of the season they take the real beginners aside a number of times.

Matches

A number of trim hockey players also participate in the trim hockey competition (Rijnmond Competition), where a match (home and away) is played every other week on Monday evening against a different trim hockey team from the region. The Rijnmond competition consists of 4 groups for mixed teams (with at least 5 ladies). The rules of the game are practically the same as the rules in regular competition.

At the end of the hockey season (end of June), a final tournament takes place on a Friday evening where all teams from the Rijnmond competition meet. The tournament traditionally ends with a BBQ and party evening. The National Trim Hockey Championship has been organized annually since 2022, on June 29, 2024 at HC Rotterdam!
